If it comes out clean your cake is fully cooked. Drape the towel over the top of the bundt cake pan.
You can remove a pound cake from its baking pan cleanly and easily no matter what kind of pan you use.
How to get a pound cake out of the pan. If you feel like your cake is stuck in the pan place a kitchen towel in the sink. Shake the cake onto the serving plate. Make sure to get around the center tube of the pan as well.
Peek under the wire rack and see if the cake has dropped out. This allows the cake to become firm enough to remove from the pan without breaking apart. Instead let the cake cool for ten minutes in the pan.
Tilt in a circular motion tapping the pan as you go until all the flour has been evenly distributed. Then flip the pan over and tap an edge on a board while holding the pan at a 45 degree angle to pop the entire cake out. When you remove your cake from the oven don t flip it out of the pan right away.
Then placing the wire rack over the base of the cake invert the pan. After removing from the oven place the pound cake right side up in the pan on a wire rack and let cool for 10 minutes away from drafts. If that doesn t work try this method on your frozen cake.

Let the pan cool down for about 15 minutes so that it s warm to cool and no longer hot. Shake the pan softly until the cake comes out. Allow the pound cake to cool for 15 to 20 minutes.
Cooling too long in the pan will cause the cake to be damp and stick to the pan. Once chilled slide the butter knife around the rim of the pan once more. Pour steaming water over it until its completely soaked.
Place the tube pan on top of your parchment paper and trace out its bottom with your pencil. Then proceed to cut the traced shape out with the scissors. This cools the cake down enough so you can carefully remove it from the pan.
